All Star Soccer Game, Tractors, Christmas Lights

Hunter had the pleasure of being on one of the All Star teams for his age group in soccer this year. He was very excited! He was bummed when season was over and I don't know if it was directed towards soccer itself or just the fact that he won't be busy with a sport for a while. Love my athletic/can't sit still child! Matt and I had the honor of coaching his team this time for All Stars. It was fun and exhausting. We practiced a few nights a week for a couple of weeks then just had one day of games in Lincoln. They first played Lincoln black, who are bred from birth to play soccer. ha! Then we played another team from Sylacauga, the green team. We lost the first game, but played our hearts out then dominated the second game. I was very very proud of our team and the positive attitude that they had the whole time. I hope Matt and I were able to team them as much as they taught us. It is amazing how much kids really do teach you a lot about yourself and the kind of person you want to be.

Hunter played so good. He listened and went after the ball no matter what. He definitely played his heart out. He even scored a goal or two!! However, whether he scored or not... I am just glad he had fun.
Gage and his Pawpaw

This kid kills me.. he is soo full of personality and spunk. I tried to find some serious photos the other day and actually failed. With Hunter he posed at times for us.. nope not Gage. He is full of life!
On days that Matt is not working he is down at the land working while Hunter is in school. Gage has found his happy place. He now thinks that if the tractor is in sight, he better be on it! He is just like his brother. Boys and their toys :-)

I put up the Christmas tree earlier this year than normal. I usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving but this year I did it early. I figured the kids are only little once and I want them to be able to enjoy it for more than a month. At the same time I can't stand putting everything out to only put it back up in 30 days. What a waste! I like our way better this year.

The boys were playing around the tree looking at ornaments and I asked them to pose for a picture. Hunter always turns around and smiles but this time Gage ran up, grabbed Hunters hand and smiled. It was priceless and I am so glad I got a picture. He truly loves his brother!
This isn't Gage's first Christmas, but it is the first that he can be active and participate. He is amazed with the tree and I usually find him here every night. If he isn't staring at the tree he is pulling all the ornaments off and putting them in a basket. But hey he is happy!
