Grandparent Day and Soccer

On September 17th Hunter had Grandparent's Day at Fayetteville school where his grandparents got to come and eat breakfast with him. Hunter loved it and I am so glad that he finally ate breakfast. ha! We are thankful for all of his grandparents even though one set couldn't make it. They are all a blessing to us and we don't know what we would do without them!

Hunter has started soccer now. I am sorry about the pictures being sideways.. I have done everything on earth to correct this and nothing will work. So tilt your head a little and you will see this sweetheart playing and having fun :-)

Hunter is having a blast and doing great. He is on the blue team this year and is learning to open up more on the field. He has scored most games and is truly happy. He is worn out and by the looks of it, it is wearing Gage out too. haha! It takes everything we have to keep Gage off the field when they are practicing. He wants to be right there with the big kids.

Thank goodness for Mimi and Pops, we got to enjoy a last minute trip to the beach last weekend. After begging Hunter to allow us to check him out of school (yes, that truly happened.. leaving it on here as proof that it really did happen once!) we left right after lunch and headed to the beach last Friday and came home late Sunday night. That is a lot of driving and riding with kids, especially Gage who is at the age where he doesn't like to ride. I hope he grows out of it but for now we just do the best that we can.. and bring a lot of toys and roll down the windows quite a bit. He is a mess though, one toy satisfies him for maybe 10 seconds then it is "mommy mommy mommy". I remind myself that one day I will miss this :-)

Gotta love my son and his oh so serious faces that he gives me now...

Me and my boys.. man I should have put my sunglasses on so I wouldn't have ruined the picture but oh well I love it because it is with them anyway!
I really think Hunter could live at the beach for the rest of his life. He has no fear and never wants to stop playing. However, before we left for the beach he wanted to watch Shark Week on Netflix.. I shot down that idea immediately. Didn't want him to be fearful like his me right before the trip. Ha!

We started putting Gage is every type of float this year and he hated all of them so we had to opt for the life jacket because he loves to just walk into the pool regardless if anyone is near by or not.

Hunter is working on swimming without his floaties.. He is doing very good. Just taking time and giving him confidence!
 My Bama football players...

Sunday morning, already up and ready to go to the beach or pool before we leave and head back home. They are the sweetest together!

Here Lately... Featuring Jamboree Game and Hot Air Balloon festival

Life at the Brannen's household has been pretty busy. School, homework, both Matt and I changing jobs, a hard-headed 5 year old that is challenging our every being, a 1.5 year old who is trying to be just like his brother... it honestly never ends. However we are very blessed and trying to find the joy in everything even though at times it is very very hard!! :-)

Had to take a picture of our last minute trip to WalMart because Mommy was craving pigs-n-blanket and Piggly Wiggly was out of what we needed.

Someone has been really interested in the potty lately. He will have a fit later knowing that I took this but I wouldn't be a mom if I didn't!
Even got to enjoy going to the Fayetteville Jamboree game with Hunter's friend Kane and his parents.

Music comes on, the boys HAVE to dance.. ha!
Riding in a hot air balloon is on my bucket list so we decided to take a last minute trip to Callaway Gardens to their hot air balloon festival. We got up at 5 in the morning so that we could be get there early to ride the balloon's since storms were headed our way.

This is the balloon that we got to ride in after breakfast... We all enjoyed the ride except for Gage. The fire that they have to blow to keep the ballon inflated is very hot and scared Gage. He held onto my shirt for dear life. Hunter however loved it. He smiled the whole time but stopped once anyone showed him attention or asked him any questions. Gotta love my shy boy!

Hunter was very excited to finally be here and to finally get to see the balloons up close
Standing in line for the pancake breakfast before we got to ride.

I would give anything to know what he is thinking when he finally saw the balloons then realized we were about to ride in one.

They had a few other things to do for the kids, food trucks, car show, dog show and wake surf competition.

Hunter insisted on having his picture taken by each vehicle that he liked best.

I would have given anything to hop in the stroller with Gage and take a nap... waking up at 4:30 to get out the door at 5 was kicking my tail!

Who knew stairs would be sooo much fun. We honestly stood there and let them going up and down the stairs for maybe 15 minutes. Gotta love them :-)

Family Pic at the ALS Ice Water Bucket challenge my brother-in-law, Craig, along with FBLA club and Cheerleaders from Sylacauga High School participated in.
