7 year Anniversary

Happy 7 year Anniversary. We have officially been dating 9 years and married 7. Wow times flies by and boy did we look like kids back then. Shows you want 2 college degrees, 2 kids, 2 moves, 3 job changes, and 3 surgeries will do to ya! However, it has been completely been worth it and I can't wait to share many more years with him. We are best friends and I wouldn't trade him for anything!

This picture is very typical Matt and Stephanie :-)

Hunter is officially in Preschool. He is beyond excited to be going to First Methodist this year. I was a little nervous because he has not been to day care or anything since he was born so this was a major adjustment. However he did great! We went to meet his teacher, Mrs. Stacey last Friday and he wasn't nervous or shy at all. He immediately went running down the hall of the school like he had been there all of his life. I am so happy for him and excited for this journey.

His first day went great.. he was excited to play on the play ground and drink jitter juice. His teacher made them hawaiian punch with sprite. She told them the bubbles from the sprite will make all the butterflies in their stomach go away. How sweet is that!

He had to make a poster all about HIM.....

Sunshine and 5 months old

For my birthday I was graciously given a big girl camera :-) My family knew I have wanted one for a long time but that I wouldn't spend the money on myself. I was so happy to have been given one especially because soccer season for Hunter is right around the corner and I couldn't be more excited to take pictures of him. However, this camera is a little more high tech for my comfort zone at times so I decided to just practice.. only way I will figure out how it works. I love how this new camera works.. my boys have the most beautiful blue eyes to me but this camera makes them pop a lot more. Love it!!

Kisses anyone?!
I am glad I got a final picture of my old car because we sold it. I have had that car for more than 7 years and it has been wonderful. Left my wedding in that car, brought both sons home in it, a  lot of memories...

But can't wait for the many more memories in my new car that is in this picture :-)

I don't know what Pops would do or if he could even cut grass without the help of Hunter!
Gage is loving solid food now. He is ok with store bought food but loves homemade. His favorite right now is pears and butternut squash. But no food is complete without it being all over your face.. ha!

My little stinker!

I can't believe this one is 5 months old now. He still does not sleep through the night but I think a lot of it is because he is having to grow so fast to keep up with his Daddy that he has to eat often. He laughs a lot and is pretty much a very content baby. He just started rolling over some but is not fond of it very much. He nor Hunter were/are tummy babies. He eats 6 ounces at each feeding during the day and 7 ounces at each feeding at night. He is teething like crazy still hence the fingers in his mouth.. poor guy I can't wait for him to get some relief. Happy 5 months old little one!

Booster seat, new members and a new car!

Hunter is officially 40 pounds and staying 40 pounds for a while. He would reach the 40 pound limit but then would soon go back down to 38. He is not a big eater but we would encourage him to eat saying he could finally get in his booster seat if he would stay above 40 pounds. He happily agreed to that because it was something he was looking forward too. It has been beyond happy to be in the seat with more freedom. We are having to constantly watch him and guide him that you keep the strap on your shoulder and etc. He listens sometimes but now we have moved Gage to the middle right beside Hunter. It is nice because someone can sit in the back now but uhmm.. not so nice because Hunter picks on Gage the whole time. They do laugh with each other at times but then others Gage will be tired and want to go to sleep.. but does Hunter allow that? NO!! He will pick on him and thinks it is so funny. I knew I would have to "separate" them at one point but I didn't think it would be this soon. They are true brothers!

We have been visiting Grace Baptist for over a year now and have been slowly getting involved with certain things.. just getting a feel of different areas in the church that are important to us. We have been talking and praying a lot about a new church to call home. We finally got peace with Grace being our home church. So we moved our letter from First Baptist to Grace Baptist last Sunday. We are happy to call this church our new home and can't wait to get more involved!
We finally got another family vehicle. My older pathfinder just wasn't working for us anymore so we got a newer one. Hunter loves the fact that it has the 3rd row because "that is just the coolest" (his words not mine!) We got out late the night we signed the papers and decided to go to chick-fil-a and Krispy Kreme to celebrate. Sweets don't usually do anything to Hunter but boy do they now. He asked for a chocolate sprinkle donut and ended up eating two, plus chocolate milk. I didn't argue because it doesn't usually make him hyper. Boy did he talk my ears off the whole way home from Birmingham. At times he would be talking to me...other times he was just talking. And don't forget he is sitting right by Gage so he would be crying and Hunter would be talking. It was an AMAZING ride home but I wouldn't trade it for the world :-)

Thomas' Bday Party

Hunter's friend, Thomas, had his birthday party this year at Tree Top Adventure. We were so excited to go and see everyone because with kids and everyone's schedule it's hard to get around to visit and hang out with friends. We all had a blast. Last year I had the honor of taking Hunter on his first go cart ride.. he always had this look of fear on his face and I was certain that it was his momma's driving. It looks like I was right! He had a blast with his Daddy and I am sure will be wanting to go back very soon!

Gage even had fun "Watching" everyone play and getting a lot of attention from the other Mommies. He won everyone over with his contagious smile and continuous charm.
(He truly loves his hands)

He stayed on the "motorcycle" the rest of the party. I love the look of concentration on his face!
Of course Matt had to join in on the fun. I think it's a guy thing!
Thomas and Hunter playing now and having a good time. I think they both ended up ranking top 5 each round. That makes me scared for the future but I guess I can rest at ease some knowing they can drive pretty good :-) Thank you Thomas for letting us celebrate your birthday with you!
