Today was the Hunter's first time as a patient at the dentist. He has gone before to watch Matt get things done but never had to get his teeth cleaned or anything like that. He wasn't too excited at first but knowing I was getting mine done, he slowly became ok with the idea.

He insisted that I get my teeth cleaned first. So he got to watch a movie in my lap and play in the floor with his toys while he patiently waited for me to get through. The whole time he was asking questions about what certain things were and how they worked. He is really a curious little boy. He became eager to have his cleaned.. and kept telling me to hurry up! I sure hope that he is always like this when he goes to the dentist. They gave him "Mr. Slurpie" and he had fun playing with it and sucking up all the spit and water :-)
In the end he got a good report and was encouraged to keep up the good work!

Fun in the Sun!

We have had some very hot days lately which have caused Hunter to have to stay inside some since Grammy didn't really need to get Gage out that much. So I decided that we would have a water day. My poor child is deprived of a sprinkler. I told him we were going to get that out and he seriously asked me what a sprinkler was. I officially have failed as a parent. We do big things with him and forget about the "little" things that every child needs to experience and remember. He has played in one before but I'm sure he was too young to remember. He had a blast in it and we even put it under the trampoline for him to jump around and play. He had a blast!

As you can see he was tired of having his wet swimsuit on and decided that underwear, sunglasses, mix matching crocs, and his dinosaur bubble machine was the proper attire... ha!

This little man enjoyed the sun too. You can put him outside and he is just content as ever. I am so glad I have outdoor boys.
Hunter taking a picture of us while we were resting before bed...

Mom was going through some of my old stuff and found one of my old pajamas and I had to try it on Gage. I was probably his age when I wore it but we were definitely built different.  He looks confused and happy about it all at the same time!

My big boy said it was time to bring the tent out again for him to sleep in...Love those sparkly eyes!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the greatest Dad I know. God has definitely blessed us by allowing Matt to be my husband and the father to these awesome boys. He is the backbone to our family and keeps us all together. When everyone in the house is in a "mood" he is always helps calm the storm and put us in a better mood. I am thankful for my harmonizer.. God knew I would definitely need him :-)   I was just talking the other day about how I never talk to anyone who knows Matt and doesn't have a kind word to say about him. People think the world of him even if they have only met him for 2 seconds. He has that "gift" about him. He is a wonderful, God-fearing, role model for my boys and I couldn't have asked for a better Daddy for them. Thank you Matt for all that you do for us!

The Boys

Happy 3 months old my precious Gage! You are still a pretty laid back little boy… there are times though that you just love to be held and will not be happy being put down for nothing, which is perfectly fine. I cherish these moment of being able to hold you because I know they will soon be gone. You still sleep through most of the night, there are occasions where you will wake up at 2 in the morning wanting a bottle and then again at 4. Thankfully Matt and I tag team those feedings so that one of us isn’t loosing too much sleep at a time. I do enjoy those few times when you have slept through the entire night. Matt and I almost didn’t know what to do with ourselves by having so much sleep. Ha! You are still wearing 0-3 (most 3 month clothes) but those two are a little big in the length at times. You love taking baths still… once we put you in the water you just smile the entire time. In the mornings and at night before bed are my true favorite times to spend with you because you will sit there and talk the whole time I am getting ready for work and the whole time I am trying to go to sleep for bed. You have a lot to say and I enjoy listening. Not sure I want to know exactly what you are saying but I am dreaming that you are saying such sweet things about your family J You love your brother so much.. if he comes around you just laugh and smile at him. I hope and pray that the same exact love with grow between you two as ya’ll get older.
Speaking of kids loving to take baths.. Hunter loves them even more now that he realized you can put glow sticks in the bath tub with you. He is so amazed and has a blast. He will even allow us to turn the lights off in the bathroom (for just a few minutes) so that he can get the whole affect. His imagination is kicking in full gear. I love to listen to him playing with his toys and acting out different scenes or scenarios. He is the sweetest and smartest boy I know… Matt and I talk all the time about how we have to stop and remind ourselves that he is only 4 years old because he communicates and talks to us like he is 10. That is a good thing and a bad thing….. We have to remind ourselves to treat him like he is 4 and not 10 J This is his last summer before he starts Pre-K for 4 year olds at First Methodist in August. He seems pretty excited but he keeps thinking he is going to be going to the same school as his cousin Sara, who will be going to the high school this year. I keep telling him it will be a different one and he seems ok with that answer but we will see! I think he will truly enjoy going to school for half a day. This will help ease him into Kindergarten next year. He still loves playing with dinosaurs but truly loves his matchbox cars. His favorite movie right now is “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”and the old tv show “Duck Tales”. He is full of life and energy and I would trade him for the entire world.
