Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the Pumpkin Patch this year in Harpersville. We knew it was going to be cold but did not plan for it to be as cold as it was. The wind was blowing which made it feel colder than it was.. thankfully the sun came out good and helped out somewhat. We bundled up as good as we could and made a wonderful day of it! A group was doing a civil war reenactment and had soldiers and indians walking around. I figured Hunter would have been impressed or excited but not at all. They had hay, dirt, rocks, and tractors there.. that is all a little boy needs in this world!

Jesus can ride...

Last night before mine and Hunter's bible study time together I had him color a picture while I wrote out a thank you card to a dear friend of our's that bought him a Big Brother shirt. When he got through coloring he said he picked out this picture and colored it so that Jesus can ride with him in the truck... and then he said maybe God can too :-)

Just melts my heart!  I told him that no matter what Jesus will always be right there beside him and will gladly ride in the truck with him if he will let him!

16 weeks

I was officially 16 weeks pregnant on Tuesday.. getting close to the half way point! Everything is going great with baby. He or she reminds me that they are here by the constant "morning sickness" but that is ok because it is completely worth it! Ever since the last doctors appointment Hunter has been more excited about this baby. He is already taking on the big brother role quickly by already blaming the baby for things. He did something wrong the other day and Matt asked him why did you do so and so. Hunter responds with a "I didn't do it Daddy... the baby did" Good try little one!! I'll be honest I can't wait to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Kind of tired of calling this baby "he or she" or "brother or sister"... it is also throwing Hunter off because he starts thinking we are having a brother and a sister. Gosh sometimes I feel like I am having two, because my stomach feels like it is about to pop.. almost like I have eaten this huge meal but in reality hardly ever eat. I will have a day or two when I can eat a pretty good meal here and there but most of the time I can only hold down half of what I use to eat pre-pregnancy. I do not really have an appetite nor do I really crave anything. I have started liking Dr. Pepper again... Before I had Hunter I didn't mind the taste of Dr. Pepper, didn't crave it but didn't mind it. After I had him I couldn't stand the taste or smell of it. Now I love it!! I can't have a lot of caffeine so Matt got me the caffeine free ones... yeah so not the same no matter what he tells you! I will have my kicks of things that I enjoy for a day or two or even just that moment but Dr. Pepper is here to stay for a while I believe. I have been incredibly tired this go around.. may be because I have a 3 year old that doesn't know the meaning of stop or slow down.. it's go go go go go. Ha! I guess he is preparing me for 2 little ones around the house.

Here is a picture of me at 16 weeks.. please excuse the attire. We just got through walking and Hunter had just gotten out of the shower. He was a little jealous that I took a "belly" shot and decided he wanted one too :-)

15 Weeks

On Wednesday Matt and Hunter got to go with me to my 15 week check up. I realized that I have not taken any pictures of the baby “bump” so I figured I would give it a shot now. With Hunter I knew exactly what week I was in pictures without having to label them. Now with Hunter, work, pregnancy brain, Matt’s crazy work schedule.. my mind just doesn’t work as well as it did when I had no other worries when I was pregnant the first time. I asked Hunter to take a picture with me so he could hold up how many weeks I am.. trust me he really was excited, he is just trying to hold it all in!!

He didn’t quite understand the whole baby doctor visit until we actually got in the room to do a sonogram. As soon as they showed the baby on the big monitor, his eyes got so big with excitement. The tech took a bunch of pictures because this little wiggle worm was making sure that she got every arm, leg, and foot. This baby is already turning into Hunter by the way he or she moves soo much. You would think I drank a lot of caffeine but I don’t drink hardly any... it’s just in his or her genes to be active and non-stop! Baby is doing wonderful and heart rate is around 150 this time.
(I have no clue why my computer won't upload this just tilt your head a little bit)  :-)

We will hopefully get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl on Oct. 31!! I am beyond excited! Matt and I have no clue what we think it will be.. part of me says boy then ask me a week later and I think girl. I have been so sick with this pregnancy so, of course, everyone thinks it’s a girl. I was sick some with Hunter but not this much. I am ready to be able to eat normal foods and be able to do some much needed housework. However, sickness means the baby is doing great so I am not complaining too much! This week Hunter is persistent that it’s a boy.. he wants to name the baby Waffle Bacon. I told him that he will only be allowed to name our future pets not babies. This baby will thank me one day.. haha!
All in all we are doing good and very thankful for our many blessings!!

We were blessed to be able to take another trip to the beach this year. I don't know who was more excited between the three of us... me, just because it was the beach... Hunter for the same reason... then Matt, because it was the first vacation in three years where he did not have to study something. We got to spend four days and five nights in Panama City Beach with Mimi and Pops. I have learned one thing... next year I won't tell Hunter about the beach until the day we leave. He was so funny going around the house getting us "packed" and every other word that would come out of his mouth was the beach this the beach that. It was trying my pregnant hormones at times but all in all it was soo funny and very cute!

The first morning we were up before the sun came up, which was nothing unusual with my early bird, and so we cooked breakfast and waited for the sun to come up and warm things up a little before we headed out. The ocean was perfect... there were sandbars everywhere. This was perfect for us "shorties" and allowed Hunter to play even more in the water.

In the South, football is very important to us. Alabama played at 4:30 Saturday afternoon so Matt and Pops went to Hooters to watch the game while Mimi, Hunter and I played a little longer and then got ready to go eat with the boys.

I really wanted a family picture... yeah it wasn't going to be so easy with this silly little boy!!
My two favorite men in the whole world!!

At the beach we enjoyed playing on the beach, throwing the football, playing in the sand, sitting by the water, and soaking up the sun...

Of course we have to go to Pier Park and get some ice cream.. but before we go we better grab some family pictures while we can. With Hunter's refusal to take pictures we just try out best to take them whenever we can.

We found and caught an electric ray and a crab....

But this was my favorite crab of all...
Did you know crabs can shave?!!? :-)

We tempted to take our annual beach pictures. Usually we try to take more but after taking two that required him to sit down. he ran off and said he had enough and was through taking pictures. We got him to take one more by bribing him with a piece of gum. He took the picture and immediately asked where his gum was once he got through. Oh well.. we will always have the memories of taking the pictures. haha!

We had the best time at the beach and can't believe how fast the days went by. Can't wait for our trip next year as a family of four :-)

My wonderful Mom took a picture of the only thing left of this pancake restaurant. This is the first place Matt and I went on a date. We met the day before and Matt was a really early riser back then and called and wanted to take me to breakfast... so being the sweet girl I was and the girl that loved to eat.. I accepted. However, I was really being nice because I am not a morning person and if he asked me to do that now I would tell him to bring me something back.. haha! The city tore down the building to add onto Pier Park so I figured we better get a picture of the sign before it was tore down too. Next to where the restaurant was an empty parking lot for the pier that was across the street. That parking lot is where we actually first met for the first time and then later he proposed to me there. That parking lot has been replaced by I think Margaritaville so the sign is all we have left :-(  Little did we know that after that breakfast we would be married within two years, three years later have a wonderful and handsome 3 year old and now have one on the way. Wow!!

Oh yeah and the breakfast special price was still posted. Back then it was $2.50. Man have times changed.. haha!
