Family Night at church

Last Friday our church had a family night for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. It was a blast! I think overall there was over 50 kids that came throughout the night. There were games to play, story time, and pizza. Hunter was worn out (and so were we.. haha)

They did a "horse" race. Hunter wasn't too sure about it at first but loved it once he got started. He loves anything that involves running or racing! Even after everyone stopped racing he just ran up and down the gym racing himself.. haha yelling "on your mark, get set, go...." He can be self entertained at times :-)

Then he got to push Matt on the scooters... at first he wasn't too thrilled about it because he wanted to ride but gladly participated for the race. Of course as soon as the race was through, he told his daddy to get up cause he wanted to ride!

Lately...

Lately things have been pretty busy... school has kept Matt very busy with test, preceptors (interning at the hospital), clinicals, etc. It is his last semester so they are pushing everything on them at once to make sure they test them everything before they leave. I know he can't wait for school to be over with but we are so proud of him for sticking with it over these past couple of years. He is very smart and is going to do wonders at his job in the future. Hunter has been growing way too fast lately. He just hit another growth spurt... one day his pants were the perfect length and then honestly the next day he had on some of his normal pants and it looked like he was waiting on the next flood to come to town. It is so depressing :-( He also is pretty much potty trained!!!! The only time he wears a diaper is during nap times and when he goes to bed at night. I am so proud of him!

The other day Dairy Queen had buy one get one free day so of course we had to take advantage of it... (I think it is a rule.. just saying)

Hunter is also enjoying helping whoever is in the kitchen cook. I think he is going to grow up to be just like his Daddy (gosh we hope so!)

We have had times where a donut or two would be in the house.. we try to not let that happen but we are only human :-) Hunter would never try one, which can be a good thing because once you try one you are doomed! After 2.5 years he FINALLY gave in and let me tell ya.. he got mad when Matt would even try to take a bite. Looks like he is a big fan!

Walking in the Woods

Lately it seems that we have been stuck in the house for one reason or another and we needed some fresh air... so what better way to get fresh air and wear out a 2 year old than to go walking in the woods at Grammy and Grandads house. He had a blast exploring all the different things and looking for "deer tracks". It was still hunting season at this time so I was a little cautious of where we were walking because we were basically walking in the middle of a hunting field... But as loud as we were I'm sure those hunter's heard us coming from a mile away! It was fun just listening to all of Hunter's "stories" (gosh he can come up with some crazy ones) and spending good family time together. There is a creek that I am sure will be calling Hunter's name this summer and a pond that he will have a blast fishing at. I don't think we will ever see him again :-)
