Mimi and Pops took Hunter to see Mawmaw and Pawpaw Jones and boy did Hunter have fun. There was so many new things for him to get into and explore. Honestly... as long as he is outside, he is happy.

We like to think that he was trying to go into the barn to see Pops and Pawpaw Jones.. but he was really shutting them inside. He just had to make sure they were in there first :-)

The best part was seeing the train go by... they live right near a train track and if you are new to that area you hear the train all of the time, but once you spend a lot of time there you tend to tune it out. Hunter is soo fascinated with trains or as he calls them "Choo Ch00"

Hunter is one amazing little boy. I know I am his parent but he is so smart, caring and full of personality. He talks 90 to nothing now and can pretty much say anything that he wants to and the things that he can't say... he will try his hardest. Right now he loves Cows, trucks, tractors, blocks, cookies (he doesn't really eat them.. he just really likes the word) and fries. When and if we go through a drive thru and we are about to place our order, he is hollering "Fries Fries" so loudly that we usually have to repeat our order a couple of times. Yes we do get him some fries but we make him try to eat chicken nuggets or something first. He is definitely a boy of habit. In the morning he wants his milk and to sit in Daddy's chair. You can try to get him to lay back in bed but it's not going to happen. He even knows when I am going to figure out what I am going to wear that day for work.. he will go to my closet and go through the clothes and go "aww wee" at every shirt. If only he knew how much he makes my day! He loves helping around the house. If you say it is bath time... he will go get his towel and wash cloth out of the drawer and go to the bathroom. He also likes helping Matt and me put the dishes away or "fold" clothes. (we do more unfolding than folding... but it's a lot of fun)

Now there are times that he doesn't want to listen now that he is getting closer to 2 years old. The main way I can get him to go or do somethings is by telling him that cousin Sara will be there or that Sara wants him to do this. It's amazing how he will usually comply. Sara has some secret that I need to know about!! :-)

Gator and Bulldog

For Christmas, Hunter got a Gator from his Mimi and Pops. He loved riding it but it has been so cold that he hasn't been able to ride it that much. When he got it and rode it for the first time, I realized that I never took a picture of him.. I only had my video camera outside so I have plenty of video time with him riding it.

While outside the other day he was riding his Gator and it hit me that I needed to take a picture. Like always... once I brought out the camera, he hopped off and decided to do something else. That is always my luck. Matt and I tried everything to get him to start riding it again.. but we were unsuccessful.

He is smart and makes sure he has "gas" in the tank before he starts riding... you never want to break down!
I begged him to get in and ride and instead he decided to push the Gator. Looks like he is practicing how he would need to respond when he runs out of "gas" one day.
Since he wouldn't let me take a picture of him in the Gator... I decided he was going to let me take a picture of him in the Bulldog. Boy was I in for a battle.. When I would have the camera down.. he would say "cheese" and smile but as soon as that camera came up.. he would look down or do something else. After about 10-15 minutes of begging and pleading I was only able to get 2 pictures of him looking at the camera. I hope it gets easier the older he gets..haha

Sweet man was trying to "fix" the Bulldog.. I think we would have been stuck in the woods if it wasn't for his handy work :-)

Kitchen

Hunter has shown an interest in cooking and helping in the kitchen. He has seen his Daddy cook and I will watch him try to imitate him by getting the Tupperware and spoons and act like his Daddy. I knew it was time to get my kitchen from my grandparents house for him to play with. All of my cousin's and I enjoyed this kitchen so much when we were Hunter's age and older. I know it may seem "girly" but generations are changing and men are starting to cook. Especially in our house... he sees Matt cooking a whole lot more than me. :-) He was at his Aunt Tanya's while Mimi and Pops brought it over for us to clean up. When he walked in the door he ran over to it and said "Oh WOW!" He was so excited and plays with it all the time. Fortunately it has been moved into his room to try to keep some of the mess confined to one room.

Baseball

We went to Matt's sister, Crystal's, house to celebrate Christian and Ava's birthday. The weather was beautiful so instantly we took the birthday party outside. Some grabbed the footballs to throw and my son decided to grab ALL of the baseballs at one time to play with. The whole family had a blast playing outside.. we have been stuck inside for months during the cold weather. We are really starting to get spring fever.

Hunter has a bit of my OCD and likes to have things in their place and in a certain order. I hope he keeps it up because later on he can help me clean the house :-)
He has an awesome throw for a 1 1/2 year old. In the back of every parents mind they are looking at the future and I'm can just picture going to watch him play professionally. Gotta support his Momma and Daddy... I'm just kidding!! I can't wait to see where God leads this little man.

Hunter's personality is coming out more and more lately. He loves to cut up and joke around but when he doesn't want to do something he is quick to tell you "No". He enjoys going around the house touching everything he isn't supposed to and stating "this is no no". I know I am not supposed to but I can't help but laugh.

He loves watching the show "Wonder Pets" or as he calls it, just "Pets". When he asks for it, we will turn it on in his room so he can watch it while he plays. The other day we were at Mimi's and he wanted to watch Pets... well they weren't on the TV and I didn't have any of his movies with me. He would get right in Mimi's face and say Peeeets- very drawn out as if she didn't understand. Then he brought her another remote to the TV to see if that one would pull up the Pets. Thankfully we distracted him by getting him to play with his blocks.

He is not even 2 yet and he amazes me more and more... I heard that you loose weight from laughing so I should be in good shape before long!!
